  Exercising with Bands

Elastic bands are simple, easy to store, effective tools for strengthening and toning all body types and parts. The bands are three or four feet long and come in a variety of resistances. Exercises are performed by standing or sitting, using each hand or leg, or by securing one side as a resistance. Elastic resistance is useful to exercisers who are looking for an inexpensive, portable and space-efficient means to work out.

These bands are perfect for all ages and fitness levels, and they provide a non-intimidating introduction to weight training. They are ideal for travel. too. The benefits of training with bands include: increased strength, increased metabolism (the rate at which your body burns calories), increased bone density, improved shape and tone of muscles as well as variety in exercise. They are an interesting, fun and effective part of any fitness program.

The first session is a consultation/exercise session. Arrive prepared to workout. You will leave with the beginnings of your initial program as well as some exercises and stretches to do until your second session. Please dress comfortably and ready to move.
